Did you read my post where I created the wreath with the My Minds Eye, Lost and Found Christmas paper? I linked it up to here and it was the only link I could find on Amazon as to where to buy it, it was almost $100. I know. There was a reason as to why I wanted to use that paper and it was all because of this quilt. This quilt is made with Riley Blake's fabric using My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas Collection. Of course it was designed by my favorite lady, The Project Girl. Have I mentioned how much I love her?
I used the free pattern from See Kate Sew that she has available on her blog. I followed the instructions exactly except for the fact that I shortened the width by 4 triangles. I used her pattern laying guide and everything and it was such a quick quilt to whip up.
For the applique, I used the Santa shape that was in a frame by Teresa Collins' December 25th and I removed the frame. I sized my square of fabric to be 12X12″ and ironed a piece of Heat N' Bond Ultrahold. It'll give you a nice sturdy hold on the fabric with no peeling up on the edges. I cut it on my Cricut Explore and then positioned to where I wanted it on my quilt. I then took the decrative stitching on my BabyLock Elizabeth and sewed Snowflakes around the edge. I ideally wanted red but I'm still working out the kinks of decortative stitching and I'm glad it's not as bold as I was intending.
I love how it ties in with the wreath and the way that it all looks together. Again, don't forget to enter the giveaway! It'll be one of your last chances from this challenge from our group and the other groups involved in this challenge. Love you all and thank you all for the support!
XOXO, Lindsay

what setting did you use on the explore?

I ironed on the backing and them with it still in place, I used the fabric + setting on the smart dial. It goes around it about 2-3 times. You could also use your deep cut blade on the same setting if you’re not cutting cotton. Use a sharp blade.
