Supplies

DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy.Begin by gathering all your materials and opening the Cricut Design Space file. You'll want to cut your white pennants first out of white felt. I found some wool felt from Joann but you can use the less expensive sheets.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy.Next you'll cut your hearts. If you want all the same color, just use the color sync function in Design Space to make sure that they all cut out of the same sheet of felt.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy. When cutting felt with your Cricut Maker, you want to use the pink mat along with the rotary blade. You'll choose the setting that will automatically select the rotary blade. When you cut Cricut felt, it is a lot stiffer so you're able to use the deep cut blade. If you don't have the deep cut blade, don't worry. Just select the other setting and use the rotary blade for any felt.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy.Once all your pieces are cut, use the Liquid Thread and place the glue on the back of the hearts. While the glue is still wet, use your iron or EasyPress to follow the directions on the bottle to get the glue to stick. I pressed longer than the 60 seconds it recommended but it did work. I'd say I pressed for at least 120 seconds at 305°F.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy.Make this banner as long or as short as you'd like and hang up with the rest of your Valentine decorations.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. So easy. For the felts I chose to do an ombre effect with the colors. I love how it turned out and it's the perfect DIY felt Valentine banner.DIY Felt Valentine Banner using your Cricut Maker. Hi, Lindsay, congrats on your blog. I could use some of your insight, I am planning a camping trip for children, I´d like to make one banner made out of recycling material, what kind of design would you suggest me to put instead of a heart of course? Thank you!
