Using the new Cricut Wisteria EasyPress is so easy to create reverse canvas projects. Not only is it beautiful, it's a practical thing to have for every crafter of every skill level.

Creating a reverse canvas is so easy and now that you have or are considering an EasyPress, it just makes it that much more achievable to get professional looks with little materials. I love it because it's 9×9″ evenly heated and the Wisteria EasyPress is lightweight, portable and easy to store.
Supplies –
- Cricut Wisteria EasyPress available exclusively at JOANN
- Cricut EasyPress Mat
- Canvas
- Cricut Iron-On Designs
- Wood Tint
- Foam Brush
- Paper Towel or Lint Free Rag
- Pliers
- Scissors
- Heavy-Duty Stapler
To begin, find yourself some awesome Iron-On Designs that are included in the Cricut Wisteria EasyPress bundle. The Cricut Wisteria items are only available at JOANN stores and guys, it's beautiful. You've got the metallic finish and it's the perfect shade of purple to coincide with Pantone's color of the year, Ultra Violet.
If you can remove the staples of the back of your canvas, use that. If they're in there pretty deep, go ahead and cut around the back of the canvas. My canvas had a painted side to it and a more rustic side on the back with no paint. I decided I wanted a farmhouse reverse canvas so I used the back side.
Preheat your Cricut Wisteria EasyPress to 340ºF. If you prefer Celcius, just hold the temperature button on the EasyPress and it will switch over, do the same thing to switch it back to Fahrenheit. Then set the timer for 30 seconds. If you do not have an EasyPress Mat, set the timer for 50 seconds.
Set your removed canvas over the EasyPress Mat and then warm your surface for about 10 seconds. Lay your Cricut Iron-On Design over the top and then take your Wisteria EasyPress and hold it over the design for 30 seconds. Use medium pressure and allow the design to cool for around 1-2 minutes.
Use a firm hold and pull up the transfer paper. It may take a bit of a tug when you first pull up on the paper. As long as it doesn't lift up the actual design, you're ok. If the design does lift, go ahead and press your design for 20 more seconds and allow it to cool all over again.
Now that you have your design pressed, now it's time to stain your frame if you'd like. Just brush the stain over the top, allow it to soak in for 30 seconds and then wipe. I just used a foam brush to paint it on and a paper towel to wipe it off. You can also use a lint-free towel to wipe it off too. Allow it to dry completely.
Turn your frame upside down and then lay the image over the frame. Make sure to set the image to where you want it. Then you're going to start stapling the back of the canvas to the back of the frame. Begin in the middle and pull as you go. Go back and forth, side to side pulling taught. Be sure to staple all around the edges and then trim the excess canvas.
Display your awesome reverse canvas and relish in how easy it was to make!

Reverse canvases are a great beginner project. I also love that the designs can be used with a household iron as well.
