Have you been wanting to make an indoor vinyl flower garden and still looking for how easy it can be to apply? You can add bugs, butterflies, and any other outdoor items you can think of. Get started on that indoor garden now.

Make an indoor vinyl harden

I first got this idea from Amber at Damask Love when she made her outdoor playroom in the sky using vinyl so I knew it would be much easier to do indoors. Since it's so cold here in Utah during the winter and it gets pretty gloomy, an indoor flower garden was perfect.

Indoor playroom under the stairs with indoor flower garden made with vinyl

When my mom was building her house, she wanted to make a special place for the girls to play. She made a few windows in the area under the stairs and some Shopkin curtains. Since it's called the mouse house, I decided to make a vinyl garden for the mouse house.

I began with a few sheets of the 12″x24″ indoor Expressions Vinyl. I had green for the grass, pink and purple for the flowers and yellow for the center of the flowers.

I used the images that were available through Cricut Design Space and cut away. I used the vinyl setting on my smart dial. You also have the option to use the Fast Cut if you have the Cricut Explore 2. I don't use this option very often but when I have larger cuts I use it any chance I can get.

Once all your shapes are cut, just peel and apply it to the wall. Since these shapes were so large, I didn't feel I needed any transfer tape. We just pressed them carefully so that we didn't get any folds in the vinyl.

If you feel like you need transfer tape, I’d really only use it for the grass and then try to save it for another project since the piece is so long.

I really just took the base molding and used that as my guide for the garden and then sporadically added the flowers then just put the yellow centers in imperfect centers.
