I think wallpaper is scary. I'm about to embark on that adventure in my bathroom but let's just say it took MONTHS to choose the pattern and it's sitting in my garage cause I'm still nervous to put it up. I'm happy with what I chose and can't wait to see it but wallpaper, in general, is such a hassle. That's why I'm so glad that companies like Wallternatives exist. It gives you the option to try things out and when you're done with it, you peel it off. So easy.

Wallternatives Frenchie 4

While I was at SNAP! in April, I had the chance to meet them and to try some of Royal Design Studios stencils and their new line of decals. That's where Wallternatives comes in. They've got these awesome fabric decals that you can reuse endless amounts of times and they always remain sticky. I don't know how many times I removed mine cause it wasn't straight and it just went right back on.

Wallternatives Frenchie 6I chose to use the Wood Block Alphabet Letter Tiles in pink/medium for Leila's room. It came in 2 sheets, rolled up and ready to use. That's what I like! I started with the Z and ended in the middle of my wall…not smart…don't do what I did. The good thing is, when I have more time and when I'm up for it, I can always come back and change it, but for now I'm going to leave it. I think I may put a picture of some type on that side and tie it all together.

Her room has always been a mystery to me. I'm not even sure if I like it now. Do you like that I don't even have bedding for her?? This room has always gotten the tail end of everything. After the bathrooms are done and the master bedroom is done, this is the room I'm going to complete but I'm notorious for starting things and not finishing. I've got to end that!

Wallternatives Frenchie 5This is how her room started, a boring pale pink. I don't even know the color, it was on clearance at Smith's Marketplace. I'm shuddering in embarrassment right now! Her “bookcase” and light are from Ikea and the sign I made from Poppy Seed Projects.

Wallternatives Frenchie 3I was expecting the corners to be tricky but they were easy as pie. I just placed it where I needed it on the one side of the wall and rubbed my hand across the decal and it smoothed across the indent of the corner. Install took me less than an hour for the whole thing from taking it out of the box to throwing away the trash. I love the look that it gives the room and it was the easiest thing I've done in a long time…and I finished!!

Wallternatives FrenchieNot only does Wallternatives have WallPrintsâ„¢ Fabric Decals, they also have ChalkTalkâ„¢ Chalkboard Art, Designer Vinyl Decals and coming soon they'll have WallAppealâ„¢ removable wallpaper and EtchLookâ„¢ Decals to look like etched glass. Check out their site, it's got some great some great stuff on it.
