Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Sugar Cookies

These holiday cookies are sure to please anyone but the kids will love them the most. Help them make their own Rudolph cookies. This is such an easy recipe for toddlers or even school parties.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite sugar cookie recipe enough to make 1 dozen

Buttercream Frosting

  • ½ stick butter softened
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Rudolph Decorations

  • 24 googly candy eyes
  • 24 pretzels
  • 12 red M&Ms or chocolate covered candies
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions

  • Roll out your sugar cookie dough and cut out 12 hearts with your cookie cutter. Follow directions for baking and allow to cool completely before decorating.

How to make Buttercream Icing

  • Make your buttercream icing: beat together butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk with an electric mixer on medium speed. Gradually increase the speed to high.
  • Once the ingredients have completely combined, frost each cookie with an offset spatula.

How to make the Rudolph face on a cookie

  • Place 2 pretzels on the top two corners of each cookie: these will be Rudolph’s antlers. Give him eyes and a nose with your red M&M. Enjoy and happy holidays!
