Summer, oh summer – I don't love you but my kids sure do! I've created these incredibly cute pineapple gift boxes with summer tags and initials to gift them when they come home from school on their last day.
Supplies –
- Mylar Paper or Cardstock
- Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker
- Candy of your choice
- Clear cellophane bags
- Hot Glue
- Glue Dots
- Pineapple Box Design Space File
- Gift Tag Design Space File
Cutting Mylar paper is just like cutting acetate. The one I've found from Bazzill is darling and sturdy. You can definitely use Cricut's acetate paper that comes in really cute patterns too. Choose that setting on your Cricut and cut away. There were a couple snags but it didn't ruin the project so it didn't bother me.Cut your pineapple toppers out of cardstock and place a small bead of hot glue in one corner and allow it to set. To assemble your pineapple gift boxes, use glue dots. I used 4 along the side seam and one on each fold on the top. Assemble the top first working from one end to the other to complete the circle. Then adhere the two sides together. Use hot glue to adhere the pineapple gift box topper to the actual pineapple. I just placed two small beads of glue and allowed it to harden before moving on to the next. Try not to move your topper too much as it's drying or else it'll just take longer and you may mess up your project.Place your candy in some clear cellophane bags and place them inside the pineapple gift boxes. Use some cute twine to tie the tags onto your summer gift boxes.

These are darling! Do you happen to know if there’s a similar file for the silhouette? I would love to make these for my daughter’s Moana birthday party:)

I do love this file too. Lia Griffith actually makes one and I think it may be the exact one. You do need a membership to download the files but it has definitely been useful for me and I’ve got my money’s worth too.
