Homemade Orange Cream Soda

What better way to enjoy any gathering than turning a childhood favorite into a grown-up drink? Learn how to make this homemade orange cream soda and serve it at your next get-together.

The rage all over Utah are these soda bars that can customize any soda. They’ve got all the syrups, creams and citrus you can imagine. Inspired by this idea I knew immediately that I wanted to use Squirt for my own creation. I also wanted to use orange flavoring because I love pairing citrus flavors together. Learn how to make your very own Orange Cream Soda right at home.

How do I make Orange Cream Soda at home?

To start, head over to the grocery store grab some Squirt, heavy cream, and some orange syrup. I like to use Torani or other similar companies that make drink syrups. Don't buy orange extract or anything like that. You'll be grossed out immediately. 😉

Now, you’ll want to add some ice to your cups about half full and add a tablespoon of orange syrup. I used 12oz. cups so adjust your recipe if you have larger or smaller vessels.

Next, you’ll pour enough Squirt to equate to 1″ below the glass rim. Now add 2 tablespoons of your cream and stir. This amount of cream definitely gives you a creamier taste, go ahead and use half and half for it to be a little better on your waistline. That's it! It's so easy to create your own homemade Orange Cream Soda. Use this recipe and try different syrups added to your sodas. Also, I'm not opposed to you making this more adult-friendly either. Some recipes are meant to be played with and adjusted to your own taste.

Ingredients

• 1 Tbsp Orange Syrup
• 10 oz Squirt Soda
• 2 Tbsp Heavy Cream

Instructions

• Fill your cup half full with ice.
• Add your orange syrup to the glass.
• Pour your Squirt over the ice and stir to combine to syrup and soda
• Add your heavy cream in last and enjoy.
