During the Summer, I swear I have no spare time. I'm always away at sports or practice of some kind. I'm sure many of you also have these same problems too, but what do you do when you've got some in the game and some on the sidelines?

Sitting on the Sidelines It can be a little troublesome trying to take care of others while you want to cheer on your other champion, so I created some simple and waaaaay easy snack ideas for the other POWERADE® sideline hero.

Making Healthy Snacks for Kids

I put together this Bento Box full of fruit, goldfish and some cheese, meats and crackers. We try to keep our sports events sugar-free but we're not always the best at that. When we don't prepare, that's when we get in trouble. I like to keep certain things on hand always so that when it's time to go, we can prepare our meals and head out. Here are some of those essentials:

  • Meat and Cheese
  • Crackers
  • Apples, Grapes, Bananas
  • Chips
  • Cookies for a treat
  • Ziploc bags or storage containers
  • Collapsible Cooler
  • Cooler boxes kept in the freezer

Powerade and Soccer

POWERADE® is also another essential I keep on hand. I do because, POWERADE® is formulated with Vitamins B3, B6, & B12 to support energy metabolism, and a 6% carbohydrate solution to help provide energy to working muscles. I want to help my kids get the energy they need to be able to sustain the game and hanging out, waiting for the game to finish.

Staying Hydrated in Youth Sports

So now is the best time to go stock up on POWERADE® and some fresh fruit when you grab a $1 off coupon off specially marked packages of  the POWERADE® 12-pack 12 oz packages and Walmart fresh produce. Make sure you're also following POWERADE® on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Tell me, what are your favorite sports to have your kids play?

What a great idea! I don’t have kids in soccer yet, but I love the idea of making a sideline box for kids watching the game! #client
