This twin baby shower was so exciting to throw for a dear friend of mine. She was expecting a boy and a girl so the neutral pastels were a given to the theme.

I love a good baby shower but I love it even more when my friends are having babies and I can help throw a baby shower. My friend, Lisa, is expecting twins! A boy (who we've dubbed as Sample) and a baby girl whose name is yet to be determined. I like it even more when I get to use my Cricut and make the decorations for someone I know that will appreciate them. Lisa is super crafty and so I knew I had to go all out so that I'd make her jealous, lol. I'm going to show you my creations for our twin baby shower that I made with my Cricut Explore Air 2.Of course I had to gift the babies these adorable Freshly Picked moccasins and I had to tie in the onesies to make a complete outfit. I also used the Sorbet Cardstock pack that is available on Cricut.com so all my color inspiration came from that one pack that included 6 different colors. So perfect for a twin baby shower. We decided to do a really simple menu that was just small finger sandwiches, fruit and a few desserts to choose from. For the drinks we did a sparkling lime-aid and some simple water with lemons in it. We served them in our drink holders that I got from Oriental Trading.I used a lot of the Print-then-Cut method for my labels on the onesie boxes and the popcorn bags. I've included the cut files at the bottom of this post that are available through Design Space. I used the font Lemon Tuesday so you'll need to download that first. For the boxes I had some circles cut with the white glitter cardstock and placed the printable vinyl on top with the “Oh Babies” image to tie in the twin baby shower theme.
I just bought some clear cellophane bags and twine and filled it up with some popcorn and adhered the printable vinyl. I'm not going to go crazy for a favor when everything else is just too much. It's the perfect ending to a fun night. If you're ever in Salt Lake the best store to find all the paper and party supplies is called Pak-N-Wrap. This is also where I got the funky crepe paper banners. I know it has a name but I can't remember what it's called. By far the biggest project that I undertook was this banner. It was actually quite easy once I got all the pieces assembled.
Supplies:
- Wooden Dowels
- 2 Half Circle Styrofoam balls
- sheet of Styrofoam
- Styrofoam cutter
- Adhesive Spray & Foam Dots
- Paper
I cut the paper on the 12×24″ mat with the 12X24″ Sorbet paper sampler. Again, I used the Lemon Tuesday font and typed the saying “Oh Babies” and cut that using the White Glitter Cardstock. I cut a ton of the 3D Peony from the 3D Floral Home Decor cartridge and I cut them in various sizes and colors. I also cut additional leaves so that I'd have some smaller fillers. I recommend this cartridge because the flowers go together so easily.
Once they're assembled, just start placing them on the foam half circles. I did place my dowel in beforehand so that I knew where I could get the flowers in a better position. I just put a ton of hot glue where the dowel was and let it set before i placed all the flowers.
Once your half circles are dry and assembled, you can add your banner. To assemble the banner, place the foam adhesive spray on your base paper and lay it on to the foam board. I used a special heat knife to cut the foam so I'd get a smooth edge, you can easily use a sharp knife. Just trace around the image and you'll have the 3D design you desire. Once you have that all set, you can add the details to the banner. I added an extra peony to the banner as well to tie it in to the base. i put foam dots on the words and attached those last.
