I finally got to show the fine people over at Hazel and Ruby what I can post for them a few weeks ago on their blog! I love, love, love what I was able to come up with. What's even better is that now you can find them at Michaels Stores nationwide! What's even more awesome is that some Michaels even have some of their things on clearance to make room for their new 2014 Summer release. You will die! Lace, maps, gold! They even have a new stencil masks that you can cut with your Cricut or Silhouette. I die! What I chose to do was play with some washi tape and sequins and pack up a present that I needed to send something that I was VERY late on sending. I had to make it worth their wait.
I had these corrugated kraft pillow boxes that I found from Etsy lying around and I used the Fat Roll Washi Tape in Define It and wrapped it around the center. I then mimicked the same thing with the Scallop Away Washi Tape in a color of my choice and again with some bleached cotton twine and thin rope.
I separated the twine so that I could fit each band into a sequin. I didn't have a rhyme or reason how I did it, I just loaded them on. I knew I didn't want a bunch stacked so I did about 3 or 4 and then tied a small knot where I wanted them to fall and then added another 3-4 more and tied it off where I wanted it to end, then I cut the string. I repeated it until I had four strings done. You can most certainly do as many as you want, I wanted something more simple.
I added a tag that I had gotten from Jen at Tatertots and Jello. She has a pretty killer line coming out that's really versatile. That's it. I hope you liked what I did. Please hop on over to my blog and see what other creations I've made. I've done lots of other things with Hazel and Ruby products too! I'd love for you to follow me on my social media as well, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!
