Create your own winter wonderland with your Cricut Explore, some marshmallows and some plastic! I love the look of acrylic items and the simplicity of them. I tend to keep my packaging of items that come in acrylic that are large. I had some old wood frames from Heidi Swapp that came wrapped in it and decided that this would be a perfect project for it.
I had a hard time getting it to cut completely through. I had it cutting with the deep cut blade and cutting it three times and it still didn't cut completely through but it did cut enough that I was able to kind of pop out the shape. I just selected some snowflakes from the new Holiday Snowflake cartridge and some from the Teresa Collins December 25th cartridge. I have to say that the Teresa Collins cartridge is a go to. It's a must!
Whoever said that stringing marshmallows on fishing line was a good idea obviously never did it, lol! It's probably a better idea to do cotton balls and just rip up into different sizes. It may save you sticky fingers and a few painful hours.
I had these other white snowflakes leftover from years ago. I've seen a lot of the smaller ones available now at the dollar store so those would be fun to add as well. I just love the different looks but in reality it didn't photograph well. Check out my other projects for this round – Window Cling Snowman and Holiday Gift Basket
