He was pretty much ecstatic once he saw the final product of his party using the Star Wars Rebels theme. He blushed when we sang Happy Birthday and was just the most coy I've seen him in a while. Man, I love this kid.We had a delish white cake with raspberry filling from our local bakery and I bought some letter candles at my local Walmart store. I just love plain cakes and I think they send as large of statement as extravagant ones.To make the foam light-sabers, I just cut some foam pool noodles in thirds and attached some silver duct tape first and then to hide the seams, I took some skinny black duct tape. All 12 cost me around $10 and the kids had the BEST time with them. Next I created some chocolate light-sabers and I think it was my favorite thing at the party. Just head to this Valentines post to see how I tempered the chocolate. Instead of dipping the tip of the pretzel in to create a match, I just dipped it 3/4 of the way.I grabbed all the party gear from Walmart for these awesome Star Wars Rebels; make sure you check out all their other Disney party supplies, too good! We had the best birthday any 10 year old could have asked for. We love to have family and friends involved in our life and a birthday is just another excuse to have them over!
