Homemade Disney-Pixar Incredibles Rice Krispie Treats

June 15, 2018

I have waited 14 long years for the release of Disney-Pixar’s Incredibles II movie. I know every child is going to want to have an Incredibles Party this year so I created these Incredibles Rice Krispie Treats. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

Make your Incredibles Party pop with these easy Incredibles Rice Krispie Treats. They pair perfectly with my Incredibles Oreos that I made a few weeks ago and just in time for the new Incredibles II movie release.

Supplies

Create these amazing Disney-Pixar Incredibles Rice Krispie Treats. Perfect for an Incredibles party for any superhero. #DisneySMMC #Incredibles #DisneyFoodGather all your ingredients and set them aside. Melt together the butter and marshmallows and then remove from the heat. You can use your microwave as well but I like to make them on the stovetop. After you’ve melted the butter and marshmallows, add the cereal and the red food coloring. Give it a good mix and place them into an 8×8″ square pan. You can line it with parchment or use some non-stick vegetable oil spray. Making the I’s is something that I did with the Incredibles Oreo recipe. Just use some fondant and set them aside. You’ll want to spread the black icing just like the Incredibles Oreos and you’re more than welcome to just use yellow icing if you’re confident in your icing skills. That’s not something I am great at so I use the fondant.Create these amazing Disney-Pixar Incredibles Rice Krispie Treats. Create this perfect treat for any Incredibles Birthday Party or just celebrate the release of Disney Pixar's Incredibles II. I've waited 14 long years for this.

Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: Disney Pixar, disney recipe, Incredibles, Rice Krispies
Author: Lindsay
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 tbsp red gel food coloring
  • 4 oz yellow fondant
  • cornstarch for rolling
  • black buttercream
Instructions
  1. Line a square pan (8x8) with wax paper and set aside. In a medium-sized pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.

  2. Add red food coloring and mix until completely colored. Add rice cereal into the mix and fold until cereal and marshmallow mixture are thoroughly combined.

  3. Evenly press the cereal treat mixture into your pan and allow to set.

  4. In the meantime, make fondant shapes. Roll out your yellow fondant so that it’s about ¼ an inch thick and cut out rectangular shapes, about an inch long and 1/3 of an inch wide. Cut one end of each rectangle at an angle.

Using the end tip of a frosting tip, cut out mini circles.

  5. Cut each cereal treat into rectangles. Frost each one with a solid circle (on a slight angle) with your black buttercream. Decorate with your fondant pieces.

I just saw the movie this opening weekend and I usually don’t feel like they knocked my socks off. They did this time. To show my excitement and Malakai’s excitement for seeing Hulk, we made him these paper Avengers masks using the new Cricut Wisteria Explore Air 2 Bundle available exclusively at JOANN stores.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMade

Supplies

I’ve been using the Cricut machines for over 4 years now and I cannot express how beautiful the new Wisteria Cricut Explore is. It has a metallic sheen to it and it looks beautiful in my craft room along with its sister, the Cricut Maker. It fits perfect for the Pantone color of the year, Ultra Violet. I also love the Bluetooth capability so that I can easily use my mobile phone to cut my project. My desktop conked out a few months ago so my husband and I are sharing a laptop, not ideal but, it’s working because I have my mobile devices to use my Cricuts.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMadeI began by using the Print Then Cut method for my Cricut. To start, you want to first calibrate your machine so that you get a good, close cut. You also want your bleed lines to be on so that your cut line will be on the printed project.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMadeAfter you’ve printed your masks, you will place them on your included Light Grip Mat and set the smart dial to Cardstock. Your machine will begin by reading the registration lines and then it will begin cutting. With your Explore models, you want to use white paper to print your items on. The Cricut Printable Vinyl is great for making stickers. I also love their thicker Printable Sticker Paper but it will not pull through my HP 8610 Printer.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMadeThe easiest way to remove any paper from your Cricut mats is to bend your mat backwards and let the paper peel off. If you pull the paper directly, you will curl your paper and you can’t move on to your other part of the project until that’s resolved.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMadeThe cut file includes the hole so that you can easily add the elastic or twine. My son is two so there is no way he’s going to hold still enough for me to tie it on. He just holds it up and takes it right off. That’s why I love that they’re paper and easily made, I don’t feel bad if he only likes it for a few minutes. He’ll come back to it off-and-on for days.Create these awesome DIY Avenger Masks using your Cricut Wisteria, available exclusively at JOANN stores. #ad #CricutWisteria #CricutMade

So what’s included in your Cricut Wisteria Explore Air 2 Bundle? You’ll receive:

  • Wisteria Explore Air 2

The White Rabbit Teacup Favors

Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeI used to have a really large stamping addiction but then they just took too much space and I couldn’t handle the pile-up. I love Deep Red Stamps because they’re compact and you’re able to know exactly what image your mini clear bag is holding. Takes up a quarter of the space that those old wooden stamps did.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmade

Supplies

Begin by cutting out your teacup favors with your Cricut. Use your scoring tool and the fine point blade to get the nice precision cut that Cricut always gives. Fold your teacups along the score lines then run the solid cardstock through your Xyron Creative Station. Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeStart assembling the inner and outer cardstocks and then place the solid cardstock on the inside of the cup. Be sure to pay attention to the tabs so that none of them shows. Use some clips to help hold the smaller tabs in place. I just used some liquid adhesive for these small tabs.Run your handles through the Xyron Creative Station and adhere them on to the side of the teacup favors.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeNow on the kraft paper bags, stamp your White Rabbit stamp in the corner using the black ink pad. Fill your bags with some tea and then fold it over.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeStamp your Pocket Watch stamp on some white cardstock and fussy cut around it. Fold some ribbon behind it and then use a stapler or a decorative paper clip and adhere it to the top of the kraft paper bag.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeVoila! Hulk Rice Krispie Treats

Create the most EPIC Avengers Party with these Hulk Rice Krispie Treats. They're delicious and fun!

Author: Lindsay
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons butter divided
  • 27 large marshmallows
  • 3-4 small drops Kelly green gel food coloring
  • 4 cups rice cereal
  • 1.5 cups purple candy melts
  • 3 tsp coconut oil divided
  • ½ cup dark brown candy melts
  • ½ cup dark brown sprinkles
  • Candy decorating eyes
  • Black decorating frosting (ready-made
Instructions
  1. Coat a 9x9 square pan with 2 tbsp of butter and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 3 tbsp butter and add all of your marshmallows. Stir until marshmallow is completed melted.
  3. Color marshmallow mix with green food coloring and add rice cereal. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  4. Evenly pat your cereal treats to the base of your coated pan. You can use a piece of wax paper to smooth it out (and so that your hands don’t get too sticky).
  5. Allow for it to set (about one hour) and cut into rectangles. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  6. Microwave your purple candy melts and 2 tsp of coconut oil in 30-second intervals until melted. Dip the bottom of each of your cereal treats (about ¼ of the way up) and set on the lined baking sheet.
  7. Microwave your black candy melts and 1 tsp of coconut oil in 30-second intervals until melted. Dip the top of each of your cereal treats and add sprinkles. This will act as the Hulk’s disheveled hair.
  8. Using your black buttercream, stick on the candy eyes on the green portion of the cereal treats. Draw black buttercream lines above the candy eyes – these will act as the Hulk’s angry eyebrow

How to make your Avenger Treats

Follow the recipe and instruction below from the recipe card. It’s super easy. Just make a batch of Rice Krispie treats and color them green. I love this tried and true Rice Krispie Treat recipe I make all the time. Place them in a jelly roll pan and allow them to set before cutting them into rectangles. If you’re using a 9×9” casserole pan, you should get about 6 thick Rice Krispie Treats but I do like to double my recipe so that it covers my jelly roll pan. Melt your coating chocolate with the coconut oil. The coconut oil will make the coating chocolate a great shine. If you don’t have it, don’t worry about it. Dip one end into the purple set it down on a parchment lined baking sheet and allow it to harden. Dip the other end into the brown candy melts and then dip straight into the brown Jimmie sprinkles.

How to make Hulk’s eyes

Use your black decorating gel and create the eyebrows by drawing straight lines pointing inward to each other. Use the same gel and add them to the candy eyes and adhere them on the Hulk Rice Krispie Treats.

These are the perfect treat to have for an Avenger party or even your biggest Hulk fan. I can’t wait for Avengers: Infinity War to be released into theaters.

Cars 3 Candy Popcorn Recipe

November 7, 2017

Cars 3 was released today on DVD/Blue-ray and so it couldn’t be more fitting that
I share with you this Cars 3 candy popcorn recipe.

No one is more excited for Cars 3 than Mr Malakai. He loved the preview but he was just too small to enjoy it in theatres. He now lives to watch movies. He’s always asking for more and I’m happy to oblige when I have other things to do in the house. Just add your favorite candy and salty chips to any microwave popcorn and it’s the perfect movie snack. For this recipe, I added some mini Kit Kat, Sour Patch Kids, Peanut Butter M&M’s and Red Hots. Just find any combination you like to make this yummy candy popcorn recipe your own. We had the opportunity to head to the Cars 3 Road to the Races event and we had a lot of fun as a family. The preview of the movie was the derby scene and it was so fun to see the expressions on all the cars’ faces.

DIY LEGO Batman Shirt with your Cricut Explore and Glow in the Dark Iron-On

Such an awesome shirt for any Lego fan.I don’t know about you but LEGO Batman has become an essential in this house, or should I say the car? It’s pretty much the only DVD my kids want to watch in the car and because of that, I’ve become really good at quoting the movie. We took Siaki and his friends to see it when it was in theaters and I’ve never seen kids laugh louder in my life. These shirts have become their go-to wardrobe because the glow in the dark vinyl lights up for a good 5-6 hours after they’ve been playing outside all day.

Supplies

Go ahead and upload the LEGO Batman shirt cut file into your computer using this method. It has both images on the file so you can upload both or just one. You do that by selecting whatever part of the image you don’t want. So for the words in Batman’s logo, you’re going to select it so that the Cricut will know to cut it out. This Batman cut file can be uploaded on your Silhouette but it’s been so long since I’ve done that. There are plenty of instructions on how to do that online.Create this DIY Lego Batman Shirt using Glow in the Dark Heat Transfer. Such an awesome shirt for any Lego fan. After you’ve uploaded your file, size it to fit the shirt. For a child large and medium, I made the file about 8.5″ wide. Set your file to cut and be sure to mirror the image for iron-on. Once your image has been cut, remove the excess iron-on material. Only leave what you want your image to be on the carrier sheet.

To secure your image with an iron, follow this method. If you’re using a heat press, your temperature needs to be set for 305° and pressed for 20 seconds. Cricut has a new EasyPress and I’m excited to get my own. For now, I just used the iron.Create this DIY Lego Batman Shirt using Glow in the Dark Heat Transfer. Such an awesome shirt for any Lego fan. There you go. You’ve now become the coolest mom on the block cause your child has their own LEGO Batman shirt and they can put together all their LEGO Batman sets while looking good.
